Mission

DeKalb Homemakers & Community Leaders is primarily a Christian organization. We accept members of all faiths and nationalities. We are education oriented and have an educational program every month at our meetings. We believe that in educating ourselves,we strengthen our family, community and world. We support many worthwhile projects and programs in our communities.
We believe that one person can and does make a difference.

Strange but True

Contrary to common belief, elephants are not afraid of mice.  Go to any zoo and chances are that the mice are living in the same quarters as the elephants.  The mice eat the grain and nest in the hay that is so common to elephant habitats.
